What's this all about...

As much for you as for myself, here's the scoop on this blog. Basically, there's a bunch of economic data out there. And for every data point, there are a bunch more commentators with their own insight and analysis. So what makes this blog different - a couple of things. First, sifting through all that data and those voices is just annoying, overwhelming and timeless. This blog will highlight the data you need to see and the analysis you need to properly evaluate it. It will present the information in a concise, clear-cut and efficient way. The goal is for you to be able to hit up this blog and get caught up on the current status of the market and general economy within 5 minutes or so. I'm catering to you to make your life easier. Second, the blog will also present investment calls and predictions. I'll list these calls and track their success/progress. I definitely don't know more than anyone else. I use hunches too. But I think that there are certain guys and tools that are very good at understanding the economy and, thus, market. So think of my calls as me simply passing on their calls or insight, not really my own.

So with that said, here's my first attempt. It'll be a bit of a trial and error circus at first I'm sure, but I think it'll prove useful and informative. I hope.
